Tim Sawatzky-W1/P1 Council Candidate
My name is Tim Sawatzky, and I am running for re-election for City Council Ward 1. I have been a resident of Stacy for roughly fifteen years and work for a local municipality where I’m a heavy equipment operator and hold a water and sewer license. I graduated from White Bear Lake High School and attended St. Paul Technical College. I’ve been involved in the Stacy Planning Commission over the last 6 years and began serving on the Stacy City Council in 2020. The committees I serve on are Joint Sewage, Liquor Operations, History, Maintenance, and Emergency Planning. In my time on the City Council and Planning Commission there has been some tremendous business growth as we welcomed All Mac, Rupp Storage, Equipment Transport, and North Star Insulation. My goals for Stacy moving forward would consist of being a strong voice for the community, business growth, bringing infrastructure up to date, and continuing to push the County to replace the dangerous County 19 bridge.
