Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Information

In December of 2022, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) has confirmed an infestation of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) in the City of Stacy. The infested ash trees were found throughout the city. Property owners should consider the city to be generally infested with EAB, meaning any ash tree not currently being treated with insecticide has a high likelihood of being infested at some level whether showing signs or not. It is important that property owners begin to make decisions regarding their ash trees. If residents want to save their ash trees, they need to begin treating the trees with insecticide this spring/summer. Please see the Basic Options for Property Owners and Additional Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Resources for more information about the infestation and how you can help.
